Today's dentistry allows us to integrate a high resolution digital impression and a 3D CBCT and the patients movement in real time, that following an specific protocol this information can be sent to our inlab systems to generate a replica of the patient's mandibular movements and integrated with the future of pre adjusted restorations.

Abstract :

Dental digital workflow is now a reality in our clinical practice. Despite many colleges believe that CEREC technology is restricted only in the field of single posterior restorations. Thanks to the new developments in the software, the huge advance in dental materials and the knowledge of the basic principles of occlusion and biomechanics i´m going to share my experience over the last nine years working with digital CAD/CAM technology treating complex cases with the CEREC system.

The integration of digital methods in implantology has caused a big change. It starts with planning and ends with the production of superstructures. Implantology becomes more simple, more predictable and faster. With the help of CAD/CAM technology the introduction of new materials for the production of superstructures was possible.
Polymer materials can be used for the immediate provizionalization procedures to create sufficient emergence profiles from the soft tissue. By using a Ti-Base connector an easy, computer supported design is possible. The system is available for a lot of different types of implants. On the same basis lithium disilicate can be used for the final superstructures. The material has a sufficient strength and very good esthetics. Besides the classical design of mesostructure and covering crown also the one-piece hybrid-abutmentcrown is an very interestion treatment option, especially for laterals.
